왜 멀리서 하나님을 찾는가?

내 마음속에서 목소리가 들렸다.

그는 바로 그곳에 계신다.

; 그 누구도 하나님 없이는 살 수 없지 않은가?

하나님을 아는 것과 내 삶을 살아가는 것.... 별개가 아니라 동일한것이다.

삶 자체가 하나님인 것이다.

그래, 그렇다면 살아보자, 하나님을 찾아보자,

하나님 없이는 삶도 없을 테니까......

(톨스토이가 심각한 우울증으로 자살할려고 생각할때 그의 마음속에서 일어난 생각입니다.)

Why do I look farther?

a voice within me asked.

He is there : he, without whom one cannot live.

To acknowledge God and to live are one and the same thing.

God is what life is.

Well, then! live, seek God, and there will be no life without him.....

After this, things cleared up within me and about me better than ever,

and the light has never wholly died away.
